# Viewing Invoices

The invoices are generated for the buyers as a downloadable PDF. This means it can be download locally by the buyers for their administration purposes.&#x20;

{% hint style="warning" %} <mark style="color:red;">**We don't recommend sending the invoice as an attachment to the buyer.**</mark>&#x20;
{% endhint %}

Sending invoices via insecure email can lead to a hacking attempt. Hackers can intercept your email and change the payment details on the invoice, even if it is a PDF document. They will change the payment details and fool your buyers in to paying your invoice in to the wrong bank account.&#x20;

**To send a secure invoice,** **instead, publish the invoice to the buyers 'My Account' and send an automatically generated email to the user.**&#x20;

Once the invoice has been completed and you are happy with it 'Publish' the invoice and it will appear in the buyers 'My Account' when they are logged in.&#x20;

They will also be sent an email from your website to tell them their invoice is ready.&#x20;

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://manual.platformbid.com/platform-bid-user-guide/auction-management/invoicing/viewing-invoices.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
